Description
Slate is a metamorphic, fine-grained, foliated, homogenous rock. Slate can be made into slates for roofing, also called shingles for roofing. Slate tiles are often used for flooring and wall cladding indoors and outdoors. Tiles are mounted on mortar and grouted along the rim. On tiles, sealants are commonly used to improve longevity and appearance, increase stain resistance, minimize efflorescence, and increase or decrease surface smoothness.
Slate Stone Colors
Slate stone is subjected to high pressure and heat during its construction, a condition that forges it into a solid, hard, and durable rock. It is present in several colors, ranging from gray shades to bright violet, pink-red, and cyan.
